Another fun week was had in our preschool.

Some children came home with great modells they had made out of the boxes and odd items which a number of parents and carers had sent in.

In the home corner, the children used the airbeds to make a lovely comfortable home setting.

Lots of family craft was done and the children had made some lovely mother day surprises.  So enjoy this Sunday.

Yoga was popular again, with the children and staff getting into all sorts of positions.

On Wednesday, the children had an enjoyable walk to a pond where they looked for frogs and treasure!

Another fabulous week was had at our preschool.

Water was very popular with the children where they used lots of guttering to measure water and to have lots of fun.

My Family Books were made which encouraged the children to draw pictures of themselves and their families.  The children thoroughly enjoyed this topic.

A big thankyou for all the parents and carers for brining in their junk for modeling.  The children enjoyed choosing what they could use to make some fantastic models.

A new shed was delivered and the children enjoyed investigating it.

Salt dough was used to make a surprise gift - but keep this quiet don't tell mum!

For our Thursday afternoon session the children made some wonderful hads using pictures and sticky tape.  The stuck lots of things onto their hats including twigs and grass!!

A lot of fun was had making pancakes.  The children enjoyed mixing the ingrediences and they especially enjoyed tasting them after.  One child, who flatly refused to eat them at home enjoyed eating them here - ours must of tasted really good!  After eating them, the children then had a fun pancake race which had the children laughing and cheering on their friends with great sportsmanship.

Billy Goats Gruff continued to be acted out during our yoga session.  With staff and children getting into lots of funny poses.  The children also used the musical instruments to make lovely music to go along with the Billy Goats Gruff story.

Lots of junk modelling has been done where the children made some wonderful designs.

A Dragons Lair was made as a den and the children loved it.  They enjoyed playing in there and using their imagination.

Water play was very popular outside with the children.  They loved filling the tubes and guttering with water.

For our Thursday afternoon session, the children enjoyed making and flying their own kites.

And finally, a tug 'o' war was held and again prompted great sportsmanship.

The children are still having lots of fun with their newly created Chinese Dragon.  They love singing the song and hope to perform this in front of parents soon. followed by a lovely chinese lunch.

Billy Goats Gruff is still being performed with music by the children.

An obstacle course was made and the children had lots of fun playing team games and doing various activities including getting their coats on themselves.  There was lots of cheering and laughter.  The aim of this exercise was not only physical but to help them to learn to support others.

Emotions have been discussed in pre-school.  The children used mirrors and puppets to act out how they were feeling and doing different scenarios.

A big spaceship was built outside with lots of involvement by the children - and the staff!

The children have been busy making and decorating various things for the Chinese New Year.  Chinese fans, lanterns and a big dragon have been made.  Along with a lovely song to sing along to.  The children also had fun trying to use chopsticks and trying to pick up different shapes with them.

The Yoga session held on the Monday was a huge success - again!

On a Wednesday afternoon we had a music session and this time the children played the instruments to the Billy Goats Gruff story and this gave the children huge smiles and was a real hit with them.

We have new talking telephones outside which are also proving to be a huge hit

The children have had a busy week making pizzas.  They got to make the dough and put their favourite toppings on.  Yummy.

Lots of fun was also had making necklaces out of dried pasta shapes.  The children threaded the string through the shapes to make some lovely designs.

Italian flags painted by the children were all around the preschool.

The children turned part of the inside area into a Pizza Hut restaurant where they could order pizzas and garlic bread to takeaway.  The children were keen to use real money, so a member of staff printed some notes off the internet - if only it was that easy!

The children also had a cash wash, so afer their trip to the Pizza Hut they could take their cars into be cleaned.  A builders merchants was also made where they could go to work to earn the money for Pizza Hut.

Yoga was popular again with lots of smiles on everyone's faces.

The climbing frame was also lots of fun with the children usining up lots of energy.
