Can we just say a big thank you to Cathy. Cathy is a parent who came in and helped us for part of a session. She was of great help which enabled us to do more one to one work with the children. If you are a parent/carer of a child here and fancy coming in and helping, even just for an hour, please let us know. The children really enjoy seeing new faces in a session.
We update our learning diaries every Tuesday, so please make sure your child's learning diary is in preschool on a Tuesday. We will be removing the pictures on some of the name cards to encourage some children to recognise their own name. The children had lots of fun doing their Yoga along tothe Three Billy Goats Gruff story. Lots of laughter could be heard from the children. The children also played their favourite game of Fish, Chips and Peas and Row Row your Boat. More apple crumbles were made by the children who had missed making them previously - yummy! We went for a lovely Autumn walk to the allotments. We saw a pigs home and a bees home. There were lots of lovely colour leaves to see and many were collected by the children. The children enjoyed some leaf painting with the leaves they had collected on their walk. We hope to make a display of this work shortly. The children are enjoying our new free stories which we received from the Bookstart people. A big thankyou to those who bought and raised enough for us to get the free books. On Wednesday afternoon, we had the Sing up CD on and the children were singing along to Ryhming Grandmothers Footsteps and a favourtie story was "Hairy McClairy from Donaldsons Dairy" On Thursday afternoon, we went to the allotments and made a fantastic den using branches, wire and anything else we could find - this was very popular with the children.

After preschool today I asked Loris what he had been doing...."Nothing, they told us to sit down and not touch anything" was the reply! So it is great to read this blog and hear all about what he ACTUALLY gets up to! A particular highlight this week was the apple crumble Loris made, which was delicious and he obviously has lots of fun making it. Thank you.
