Last week the children enjoyed the 'Pirate' theme. They were busy making boats to sit in, along with big sails. They even tried their hand at making paper boats to see if they would float or sink on water.
We also continued the 'Autumn' theme and the children enjoyed rolling their conkers in the play dough and making lots of fun shapes. The staff even hid some conkers in the garden and the children thought it was great as they kept finding them. The children enjoyed getting the glue out and making cobb pictures by using the corn from the corn on the cobs and sticking them on to various pieces of paper and cardboard. Outside the children had their trampoline and were busy making lots of dens. Inside the children were facinated with the new pet toys and loved playing vets. For our Thursday afternoon outing, the children walked to the stone circles. At the circles the Pre-school Leader got stuck and the children had to use their problem solving skills to help get her down!
