For our Yoga we are continuing the story of the Vikings. The children re-visited the moves and loved to show each other in a large group.
The children have been having lots of fun with water and learning about "sinking" and "floating". They had to guess which items would float and which would sink, and then they had to record their findings. We put the kitchen outside and the children enjoyed a BBQ with the children cooking the burgers, rolls and baguettes. What budding chefs we have! We also had the diggers and dumpers outside in the mud and stone pit. The children played acting out builders and had their own builders yard. They moved the mud to and from areas, with the large construction vehicles. There was a big crowd of children and they all played beautifully together and worked well as a team. We have also been making lots of mud pies. We got the children to find items to put in the pie and let them mix and squelch it up - now who wants to try some!!!! We have started work on our Fathers Day surprises. They are looking really bright and colourful - but don't tell Dad. We had lots of handsome boys and beautiful girls on Thursday for their photo shoot. It went really well. Look out for the funny group photo! On Thursday afternoon we again made the most of the weather and went out to enjoy a relaxing picnic under the trees. We played Simon says and enjoyed the Ten seeds story especially the mischievious mole. We made some pictures using the things around us and finished with hide and seek. Annual trip to Puxton Park on Wednesday 26 June. More details to follow. School visits and our annual trip is fast approaching. More details to follow.
