Our Yoga lady was unable to come this week, so we did it ourselves. We practiced our moves and made our own story about a bear in a forest. The children were given the option to choose their own moves.
We had lots of fun matching up Easter Egg Shapes - matching the colour to the shape. The children showed good concentration skills and working out by trial and error. We went on a walk to collect frogsprawn and we talked about life cycles. The children did finger painting and made frogsprawn pictures and tadpoles. Outer Space is still very popular and a few children have made their own rockets to bring home. Wild animals have also been popular. There is a large tree trunk and the children enjoyed making their animals climb across it and making up lovely adventure stories. Lynne and Manda had a fantastic week of training at Ashton Court. for the Forest Schools Award and will both be working towards improving our Thursday outdoor session. On Thursday afternoon the children walked to the allotment hunting for fairies. The children each found a fairy pot which they filled with fairy treasure which they collected themselves. We had a quick story in our secret hideaway and talked about all the treasurers we had found. It was fairytastic!
