Yoga – Little Rabbit Foo Foo. More rabbits scooping up what they shouldn't, but not to worry the good fairy is on her way, but if that rabbit does not do as he is told, he will be turned into a Goony!!! Let us see your best Goony faces – ugh!!!
Lots of running around outside and chasing one another, but wait, there is a bus, all aboard. Where are we going? The jungle to see the dinosaurs, but we need to go to the beach first, and have a cone. The dragons will get you, they breathe fire, it's OK, Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee will save us!! Oh no, there is Jazz the Helicopter, he is bad, Optimum – save us!!! Wow, what an adventure was shared outside – all these wonderful ideas of where the story went. I think I need a sit down – I am exhausted!!!
Our Celebration of 'Holi' went well (Hindu festival to welcome Spring) – a celebration with lots of colour. Traditionally people throw colour paint at each other but we decided to draw around ourselves and then throw/flick paint at the cut outs of each other. The children have really enjoyed this festival and hope you enjoy their colourful cut outs.
On Thursday afternoon we walked to our Outdoor Area and recapped our rules to keep us safe. We went exploring and found our tunnel was waterlogged. There was lots of team work helping each other under/over through whilst exploring. One child spent a long time making a stream using a stick to make a trench and get the water to run. Lots of children enjoyed role play in the den, acting out the 3 Little Pigs. Lots of huffing and puffing but the wolf couldn't get in.
We have been taking to the children reminding them of our Golden Rules. Our Golden Rules are there to help keep everyone safe and happy. Our Golden Rules are:-
1 – Moving around carefully
2 – Our inside voices
3 – Being kind to one another
4 – Listening to each other
5 – Sharing and taking care of our toys
We have also been discussing the purpose of our whistle. What it sounds like, why we use it, what happens when they hear it and what do they need to do. There may be a fire and we all need to get outside, quickly and safely. We need to take the phone and dial 999 for the firemen to come, but not to worry because the adults are there to help each other and everyone one of us.
