We are still learning Good Girl, Good Boy and Hello in Makaton signs. Please do take a look at the list which does show you how to sign. Also, ask your child to see if they can show you.
Music, Music, Music to my Ears. There was lots of good tunes and learning on how to play on an instrument loudly but also softly. We have also been listening to the difference in the sounds produced. There was also some good dance moves and some lovely signing. Magnets - How doe they work? What do we need? Does plastic work? Do they work with concrete? No metal - they stick to metal. What else is metal? The children were then on a hunt for all things metal. In Yoga this week we did Little Red Riding Hood. Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Here comes the chopper to chop off your head. Good watching and listening skills. Sinking and floating - the children had to guess whether the object would sink or float and why they thought it sank or floated. Was it heavy or light? Big or small? Sometimes, it was surprising to see what sank or floated, just because it is bigger, does not always mean it will sink. What else can we find to see if it sinks of floats? On Thursday afternoon we walked to our outdoor area. We are getting very successful with out Kelly kettle and enjoyed hot chocolate. We tried some outdoor cooking of wraps, cheese and sauce - not everyone was impressed but most had a taste! The children enjoyed lots of games, 123 Where are you? What's the time Mr Wolf? and Tag. The children really enjoyed these team games and lots of giggling could be heard from far and wide.
