What fun we had this week playing with the space toys/small world. The children spent a great deal of time talking about planets, aliens and where they would like to visit if they went in a rocket. Great imaginations!
We are still learning the Makaton signs for Hello, Good Girl and Good Boy. The children are doing these very well. Before we started our Yoga we played the very popular "Fish, Chips and Peas" game. For Yoga this week we did Noah's Ark. The animals were going 2 by 2. What animal can you be? A dog, cat, owl, lion or even an elephant. How can we get there? By train, plane, tractor, no - let's build a boat. There was lots of good ideas. We had lots of bubbly warm water in bowls and the children enjoyed seeing how many bubbles they could make. The dinosaurs ended up having a jolly good bubble bath - we think they enjoyed it! Oh no - but some dinosaurs are sinking and some of the dinosaurs are floating. We wonder why that is??? Could some be heavier than others? Outside we had fun with an obstacle course. We did lots of jumping, stepping, balancing, over, under, landing, launching - over and over again. Well done everyone for putting lots of effort in - good work. On Thursday afternoon we walked to our outdoor area. It was very wet weather but the children thoroughly enjoyed splashing in the puddles. We made shelters and played "What's the Time Mr Wolf".
