We are still practising the Makaton signs for Hello, Good Girl and Good Boy. For yoga this week we went off to the fair - what can we see? What can we go on? We travelled to the fair by boat, train and hot air balloon. We went on the tea cups, the scary ghost train, space mountain, log flume and the horses on the carousel. Lots of different shapes to create and excellent concentration whilst some of the smaller children were doing different things - very good listening skills. Well done everyone and we all had fun at the fair. The stilts are very popular at the moment. Terrific balancing skills from the children who were also deep in concentration and taking it steady and always watching where they were going. We had pancake races outside - with lots of flippin flippers. Well done everyone. Good hand eye co-ordination and some steady hands. We had someone new in on Friday - Julie's husband Dave. He taught us some football skills - lots of dribbling, scoring goals and good listening. There was lots of good hand/eye co-ordination and balancing skills - ie kick with one leg and balance on the other. As the weather is getting better we decided to tidy up our garden. The children showed excellent team work to dig and move the soil from the planters to the digging area using some push and pull techniques - the dumper truck came in very handy. We were getting it all ready for our volunteer parent who is coming in to help make our garden area more exciting for the children.
