Can we say a big thank you to Amanda who came in on Tuesday evening to help Lynne packaway the toys and equipment for a WI meeting.
Unfortunately, our lady who did computer work with the children can no longer come in. If anyone is free to come in and do some computer work with the children please see Lynne. We now have indoor natural resources stored ontop of the craft trolley. We would love for everyone when on a walk to add to our resources - conkers, pine cones, pebbles, shells, feathers etc. The childfren love collecting things and bringing them in. For yoga we are doing the Hungry Caterpillar story, starting small as a tiny egg and growing bigger. We discussed the weather, swaying with the wind. We have had some lovely picnics with the dolls in our teepee and taking the dolls to the park and farm (the small world toy set). The children enjoyed acting like mummies and daddies. We had a noisy, but fun morning when the children made their own trumpets. They used sugar paper and then decorated them. It was excellent creative play. Outside the children have been busy playing "fires". They would collect leaves and wood for the pile, then they would try and put it out and would call the fire brigade. This was great for team work and sharing ideas. The children also had lots of fun outside playing Hide and Seek in boxes. This helped them with their counting and lots of laughter and giggling could be heard. On Wednesday afternoon, we danced to a CD brought in by one of the children. It had their favourite song on it. We also went into the field and all had a go at flying a kite which had been brought in by another child for Show and Tell. For Thursday afternoon, we made a witches den at the allotment, a witches potion and clay models using natural materials around us. Lots of fun was also had by the children when they were flicking mud to make some mud pictures. We are getting ready for Halloween, so we have started a groupd picture - watch this space!
