I like to encourage self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. I want children to have the opportunity to make creative choices in their learning, promoting autonomy and independence.” |
Gemma Mounty
Deputy Leader & SENCO job share Qualified Teacher Status Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Child Protection training Qualified Paediatric First Aider "I joined the setting in February 2023 and am excited to work part-time as Deputy Leader and SENCO. I am a qualified teacher with 15 years’ experience, teaching a range of age groups including primary and SEN. Throughout my teaching journey, I have always been passionate about promoting independence. I believe developing a child’s self-esteem and independence are essential skills to develop their curiosity of the world around them. Growing up on my family's farm as a child and observing my daughter’s enthusiasm on our own farm, I am aware of the benefits of children accessing outdoor learning. I love living in the countryside and enjoy sharing this with our young learners, during our daily walks in the local community." |
