Welcome back everyone!
So many new “show and tells” this week! And where had they all come from? It seems Santa had been extremely busy over the holidays and with so many good children! Some new lunch boxes too and lots of stories to tell. Welcome back to playdough; creating snowmen, cakes, pizzas and biscuits, sharing them out to all of our friends, counting how many, squeezing, rolling, making flat, rolling into balls, cutting, smelling it. What does it smell like? What does it remind you of? Biscuits, bread, warm things, cake. It’s amazing what a little bit of Vanilla essence can make you think of. Crates and planks and other such things – what can you create? Things to balance on, walk across, jump off, make a course to go around, you do need to all go around the same way or oh no traffic Jam! Can’t go through. It was decided that some rules needed to be made, which way to go, in which order, not too slow, but not too fast. Lots of thinking, working together as a team for a common goal and getting on well together. Forest Club – The art of keeping warm; Let’s keep moving, running around, building dens, climbing trees, walking along trees, trying to knock down trees, swords with sticks, knights of the wood, collecting sticks and leaves for the den. Games of “what’s the time Mr Wolf”, Tree, apple, bush, tree, hot chocolate and a story. Frankie even provided warm milk for us for our hot chocolate. Thank you Frankie, lovely idea. We couldn’t get under our bridge though as it was flooded. Oh dear.
